The Master of Descriptions

Remember when I was down,
When they called me a clown,
At life I did frown,
Possibly wished to drown,
When I was about to,
You showed up.

Remember when I was just one,
Couldn’t tell a story to no one
My face I could hide from everyone,
But you stared at me,
In a way no one ever did.
When I was about to,
You showed up.

In a world that knows not I,
With no esteem that I couldn’t stare at an eye,
With depression that confronted I,
You tapped on my shoulders,
I sunk in love for the first time,
When I was about to,
You showed up.

In this crowd of cold,
You gave me support,
Taught me what life ain’t,
Taught me what love meant,
Taught the meaning of always being here.

For someone you barely even met,
For someone so lost in prying depression,
In you I found friendship.
Just a new friendship I can’t explain,
So thank you for tapping on my shoulders.
