LOSS!
I cried in my dream, no!
I wept.
I sobbed uncontrollably.
Grief!
The feeling of losing something or someone I had not known.
Came gushing towards me.
I saw faces I met in my previous lifetime.
Faces that exist no more.
Faces that I felt I knew but never met.
I called out a name.
Of a person I once knew but never met.
Her face,
Distinctively but elusive it came.
It appeared to disappear.
So dear to me she was.
Yet disdainful the feeling brew.
Whence she left before I clutched.
All a dream it was, I thought.
Slept knowing that I’d wake.
To a sun with everything else in place.
To a breakfast to replenish my strife.
Void I felt when I woke.
Sobs in the background I heard.
Faces,
Some that I knew, some I never met sat.
Eyes red, burdened with tears.
Voices shaking, heavy with news.
Wore black, on my foot moulds grew.
Then I remembered my dream.
Then and only then I knew.
As darkness brew some dreams come true.
