The Master of Descriptions

She loved him unconditionally that when it came the time to fall off, they did so gracefully. Because they had had enough of each other. There was nothing to mend. Nothing was broken. They only faded from each other like a distant past fleeting away in time. As they turned their backs on the ship, it sailed and withered.

He loved her yes, like his baby sister. A sister he never had and never got, dreamt of but never came. He was protective of her, not in the sense that he could fight her wars kind of thing. His was of choose your wars wisely. I’ll fight beside you when you need an extra hand.

She knew he was her rock, the same way big bros are for their lil siz, as they should. She confided in him. There was no one like him, just him. Sometimes he played the daddy figure, someone that she never bonded with in her adult life. She was always glad.

Well, for the same reason trees shed off their leaves, lil siz shed hers and grew up, and he didn’t. Pride and shit. That’s when the ship sailed to shit.

He had to let go, you know, it was her time to glow in growth. He was proud of her. Although, sometimes along the way, deep down he mimics the emotional state of a father giving their child away on the Isle. When it comes to only her.
